I know that the Hodgkin's lymphoma is rare, but especially teenagers, (who I'm 13). I had Hodgkin's lymphoma in the summer. I had 4 cycles of chemotherapy and radiation for now I have 3 weeks (but not on weekends). The biopsy is performed to determine whether, if the cancer is and whether that Article I had my biopsy on the neck, because he had a lymph node.
Chemotherapy is not terrible. Drugs is strong enough to fight alone to destroy cancer cells to rapidly reproduce. Attacks on the rapid multiplication of cells, including all the hair cells, white cells, platelets and cells from which the tissues of the mouth means. This is that your defense low to catch the probability of a common increase incold, and probably lose hair and ulcers when exposed to chemotherapy (I've heard that if you chew the ice during treatment with chemotherapy, are less prone to injury) in the mouth. Chemotherapy can also tired you feel and what you will get sick depends chemotherapy Medicen the affected party, I'm with you, the most that I know.
If you do radiation or not depends on how they respond to chemotherapy, and if your doctor (or doctors) think it should. The most common side effects radiation is likely to be a rash in the area that you will receive radiation. And set the area that the radiation from the sun. Some side effects depends on where you have the radiation.
At at the moment not even sure if what you have cancer, is not it? So do not worry too much. Hopefully this is not cancer, but it is at least now you know more about it. If you have any questions, please ask us! Good luck with everything, I hope all goes well, if not the cancer it is! = D
Do not look at things on the Internet. You get a lot of misinformation. I hope it is certainly not cancer, but if it is not hopeless, especially when young.
My son 11 was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma, a phase. He underwent three cycles of chemotherapy and IT therapy. It is now well. Lost some hair, but now he's back all the loops that have never before. All rights yet and I hope it always will be.
A biopsy is really the only way, "type" what is and whether it is cancer, the type of cancer, are being fulfilled to you may be put into the proper treatment.
I hope this is a start, and you will not go through a long treatment protocol. Lymphoma is a vFYR curable if detected early. Good luck to you.
Stay strong, positive attitude is far more important. My son was stronger than all the adults around him, and we came through. I met dozens of wonderful children and families, and often, and honestly, you are by the number of people who support and perhaps also to find out who your friends are and not really be surprised at moments like these.
I really hope this is not cancer, but if it's true, do not remember leaving you devastated. You can defeat him. I know many children they have.
